1. Agreement
By downloading or using Reverse Diary, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms, the applicable App Store terms control.
2. Eligibility and permitted use
You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum digital-consent age in your location. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful personal reflection.
You may not reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits, interfere with its operation, bypass purchase controls, misuse cloud features, or use the service to violate another person’s rights.
3. Wellbeing notice
The app supports self-reflection, guided journaling, and optional habit tracking. It may surface factual patterns, tentative reflective connections, or questions based on information you record, but these are intended only to support personal reflection. They are not professional healthcare advice and should not be relied on for diagnosis, treatment, psychological assessment, or crisis support. If you believe you may be in danger or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.
4. Subscriptions and trials
Reverse Diary may offer weekly, monthly, and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Monthly plans may include a seven-day free trial when shown as eligible by Apple. Available products, exact local prices, taxes, billing periods, and trial eligibility are displayed by the App Store before you confirm a purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID.
- A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple’s rules.
- Apple charges renewal within the period it specifies before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel through Apple ID subscription settings.
- Any unused portion of a trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where applicable.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law.
Deleting the app or your Reverse Diary account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
5. AI and reflective features
Some optional Revi features use AI, including cloud-assisted question candidates and aggregate Revi World analysis. Other experiences—such as Habits, local Insights and Reports derivations, Wrapped preparation, and Future Me—may rely on deterministic or structured on-device processing rather than AI. The exact processing and data flows are described in our Privacy Policy.
AI outputs and reflective interpretations can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or unsuitable for your situation. A question or reflective connection may be phrased tentatively when the available evidence does not establish a fact. Reverse Diary does not intend such output to diagnose you, define your personality, identify a disorder, establish causation, or replace your own judgment.
Use your own judgment and do not rely on AI or reflective output for high-stakes medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. We may adjust, limit, validate, replace, or discontinue an AI-generated candidate or reflective feature to protect users, service integrity, quality, privacy, or legal compliance.
6. Your content
You retain your rights in content you create. You give us a limited permission to process content only as needed to provide features you choose, operate and secure the service, and meet legal obligations. This permission ends when the relevant data is deleted, except for lawful retention, backups, and records that cannot reasonably be isolated immediately.
Features such as Habits, Coach intentions, Time Capsules, Reports, Wrapped, and Future Me may use structured information you create or information derived from your reflections. Their presence does not mean Reverse Diary has independently verified the meaning, accuracy, or psychological significance of that information.
You must have the right to upload any photo, audio, or other content you add. Do not submit unlawful content or another person’s sensitive information without authorization. If you choose to share a Wrapped image or other output through the system share sheet, you are responsible for the recipient or service you select.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for a reliable experience but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability of a feature, preservation of locally stored data, or that a derived insight will remain identical after the product evolves. Back up your device where appropriate. We may improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features, and will provide notice when reasonably required.
8. Intellectual property
The app, Revi character, visual design, software, text supplied by us, trademarks, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Reverse Diary and are protected by applicable laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
9. Disclaimers and limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that may legally be excluded. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, or lost profits arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time and request account deletion. We may restrict access for serious misuse, legal requirements, security risks, or harm to the service. Sections that logically survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions—continue to apply.
11. Governing terms and updates
Applicable consumer-protection law and mandatory rights in your country remain unaffected. We may update these terms as the service changes. We will change the date above and provide additional notice for material updates where required.
